DBR and Trauma Focused Intensives
in Phoenix, Arizona
Real-time relief and clarity for those ready to go deeper without waiting weeks between sessions.
Is 50 minutes a week starting to feel like it’s just scratching the surface?
You’ve always been the one to hold it all together.
You’re doing well on the outside - thriving at work, showing up for others but inside, you’re carrying more than anyone realizes.
You’ve tried therapy, read the books, checked all the boxes... but something still feels stuck.
Like no matter how hard you try, the weight never fully lifts.
It’s the kind of exhaustion that sleep doesn’t fix. You’re always bracing for something, even when life looks calm. You’ve learned to push through, to stay productive, to be the strong one. But your nervous system is tired of running the show alone.
What if healing didn’t mean managing symptoms but softening what’s underneath them?
It’s not that therapy hasn’t helped - it’s just never felt like enough.
You’re ready for more time, more depth, and more movement. You don’t need more coping tools, you need a different kind of session.
One where you can slow down, go deep, and feel truly seen.
This therapy intensive is for high-functioning adults who carry invisible pain—whether it shows up as anxiety in your chest, tension in your body, or the feeling that no matter what you do, it’s never quite enough. In this extended session, you’ll have the time and space to slow down and finally connect the dots between your past and the present.
We’ll explore what’s driving those patterns of saying yes when you really mean no, holding it all together while secretly wishing someone would just ask how you’re doing, or pushing through each day telling yourself “it’ll get better”—while quietly fearing it won’t.
You’ll walk away with clarity, tools that actually support you in real life, and a deeper sense of steadiness that doesn’t fade the moment the session ends.
The old model of weekly therapy doesn’t work for everyone.
When you’re carrying a lot, 50 minutes can feel like barely enough time to exhale—let alone get to what really needs attention.
An intensive gives you something weekly therapy often can’t: time to stay with what matters, long enough for it to start to change.

What Are the Fees?
Therapy intensives are a powerful way to make meaningful progress in less time. When you’re carrying a lot, weekly therapy can start to feel fragmented—like you’re just getting to the real stuff when the session ends. Intensives offer spacious, focused time to stay with what matters long enough for it to start to shift. Fees are based on your needs and program design and are communicated ahead of time in accordance with the No Surprises Act.

Intensives start at 3 hours and include:
• Pre-session intake and personalized planning

Payment is due in two parts: a 50% non-refundable deposit to reserve your date at the time of scheduling, with the remaining balance due on the day of your session. Fees may vary for current, weekly clients.

Definitely! Many insurance plans may reimburse a portion of the cost (typically PPO plans). I’ll provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance.
Coverage varies based on your plan—especially when it comes to several hours of therapy in one day. I recommend calling the number on the back of your card and asking:
What are my out-of-network benefits for mental health?
Will my plan reimburse for multiple hours of therapy in one day or one week?
Please know that the insurance company requires a diagnosis code as a reason for treatment.
I’m happy to provide any documentation you need to support this process.

A 3-6 hour intensive creates space to slow down, go deeper, and actually stay with what matters. Many people find they gain clarity, relief, and momentum that would otherwise take months to build in weekly therapy.
For complex trauma, a one-day intensive is often just the beginning. Some clients choose to return for additional intensives monthly or quarterly as a way to continue the deeper work with more space and time.
-
Multi-day intensives offer extended time to move through deeper layers of trauma without having to start and stop each day. Clients often describe them as a mix of therapy and retreat: deeply transformative, spacious, and immersive.
With two or three days together, we’re able to build trust, stay with the work, and move through multiple layers of what’s keeping you stuck—whether that’s relational trauma, chronic stress, or patterns that haven’t budged through weekly therapy.
We’ll talk together in our consultation about what format feels best for your needs, history, and goals.
To support your healing, I strongly recommend leaving time outside of sessions open or filled only with supportive practices—like rest, massage, walks, journaling, or anything that helps you feel grounded and connected.
-
Not necessarily. Many clients experience meaningful shifts after just one session. However, if you’re working with multiple layers of trauma or want extended time to explore, you might benefit from a two- or three-day format. We’ll explore the best fit during your free consultation.
Regardless of format, I encourage you to create unscheduled space around your intensive—time for rest, integration, and care.

Currently, I can only provide therapy intensives to clients physically located in the state of Arizona at the time of our session, whether in person or online. If you're from out of state, you're welcome to travel to Arizona for an in-person intensive. Many clients find this travel adds to the experience—giving them time and space to fully focus on their healing.

We’ll begin with a free 15-minute consultation to talk about what’s bringing you in, what kind of support you’re looking for, and whether an intensive feels like the right fit. If we decide to move forward, I’ll help you schedule your session and guide you through the preparation process.
